Graffiti protection. Removing unwanted artwork from stone or concrete surfaces

Even though wall paintings are classified as street art, not every building owner has an appreciation for this form of artistic expression. Especially in cases where it is an unsolicited work of art.

In the following lines, we will introduce top-tier products from the brand BELLINZONI, guaranteeing high-quality protection for facades, buildings, or monuments, with subsequent easy removal of graffiti spray.

Undoubtedly a romantic, visual expression of affection for someone's neighbor. Applied with spray paint.

Removing graffiti from a stone surface without a protective layer

Before focusing on graffiti removal, it is essential to thoroughly clean the entire surface of dust, smog, and other impurities. This ensures a more effective chemical reaction and higher efficiency of the anti-graffiti cleaner.
On an untreated surface, the spray paint is better bonded, making its removal significantly more difficult than removing paint from a pre-treated surface.

Step 1: Cleaning and preparation.

  • Thoroughly wash the affected area and its surroundings with BERT27 cleaner.
  • The product is diluted with clean water depending on the type of contamination, but at a maximum ratio of 1:2 and a minimum of 1:30.
  • After application, let it act for 3-5 minutes and then thoroughly wash the entire area with water.

Step 2: Application of graffiti remover.

  • Thoroughly mix the graffiti remover WALL CLEAN, for example, with a construction mixer paddle.
  • Mix for approximately 10 minutes. Insufficient mixing has a significant impact on an even reaction.
  • Apply with a brush or roller only to the area affected by graffiti, not to its surroundings.
  • Leave to act for 15-30 minutes, though in some cases, the reaction may take 2-3 hours.
  • If the graffiti remover's reaction is insufficient, apply another layer.
  • Easily remove reacted residues of the remover and paint with a scraper or a damp sponge.
  • Finally, rinse the entire surface with clean water.
  • The product WALL CLEAN by Bellinzoni is ECO-FRIENDLY.

Not every work of art is appreciated or wanted. Not every street artist respects the protection of someone else's property.

Protect your property from graffiti, stay one step ahead of the perpetrator

If you want to be prepared for an attack by an unwanted artist, we recommend protecting your facade with one of the world's TOP products for graffiti protection. We are talking about the product ANTIGRAFFITI STRIP VAPOR
Before applying the protective coating, it is necessary that the surface is thoroughly cleaned of dirt, dust, or smog.

Step 1: Thorough cleaning of the surface

  • Thoroughly wash the entire area with ULTRA STRIPPER cleaner by Bellinzoni.
  • Dilute to a 10-15% solution dissolved in water.
  • Apply to the surface by spraying or with a sponge and let it act for 5-10 minutes.
  • Thoroughly rinse the entire area with clean water.

Step 2: Application of ANTIGRAFFITI STRIP VAPOR.

It is extremely important to strictly follow the application procedure for the protective coating.
  • Apply to a clean and dry surface.
  • Heat the product in a water bath to make its consistency as liquid as possible.
  • Mix thoroughly for 3-5 minutes.
  • Apply the prepared impregnation in one direction only and in several layers.
  • Apply with a brush, roller, sponge, or sprayer.
  • Apply until the material stops absorbing.
  • Apply at a minimum outdoor temperature of 10 °C.
The impregnation Antigraffiti strip Vapor is vapor-permeable. This means the protective coating does not let liquids into the material but allows vapor to pass out, preventing moisture buildup. This product is environmentally friendly and is ecological.

Step 3: Removing graffiti from the impregnated surface

How to proceed if the treated area has been attacked by a street artist? In this case, the solution is surprisingly simple. We recommend rinsing the damaged area with water heated to 60-70 °C.

After removing the graffiti, it is necessary to re-apply the protective coating ANTIGRAFFITI STRIP VAPOR.

Conclusion

For some, it's street art; for some, a lifestyle; for some, vandalism. We at DiaSegment love art very much, but we do not like the damage and interference with other people's property.
Tracking down the author of an unwanted work and demanding restitution is often impossible, which is why we recommend choosing appropriate protection before such an event occurs.
