This extra wide professional Velcro is an indispensable solution for every grinding and polishing workshop. It has been specially developed for the reliable and cost-effective renovation of worn surfaces on standard and larger polishing discs, backing pads and pads, where conventional widths are not sufficient.

With an extra wide 15 cm width and robust fabric, this Velcro guarantees a strong and long-lasting connection that will easily withstand even the most demanding professional use and high speeds. It requires the use of its own, high-quality contact adhesive (not included), allowing you to choose the most suitable adhesive for the specific backing material and working conditions.

How does it work?

In our offer you have a choice of two options, which you can select from the menu according to your needs:

1. Hook: It has a firmer and rougher side and is applied directly to the worn carrier or backing of your tool. It is ideal for renovating worn polishing discs with a larger diameter. It will ensure an extremely stable and secure grip of the discs.
2. Loop: It has a finer and softer side that you apply to the back of the grinding, polishing disc and pads. This part allows for quick and easy disc replacement, minimizes downtime and increases the smoothness of work.

Application instructions (Requires external adhesive):

Application of the replacement Velcro is simple, but requires careful preparation and a quality adhesive for long life:

1. Surface preparation: Completely remove the old Velcro and all adhesive residue (using adhesive remover/acetone). The surface of the carrier must be smooth, clean and dry after cleaning.
2. Velcro preparation: Measure and cut the exact shape of the Velcro (Hook for carrier, Loop for reel) so that it fits perfectly.
3. Adhesive application: Apply a thin, even layer of suitable adhesive (e.g. contact adhesive according to the type of carrier) to the back of the Velcro and to the carrier (according to the instructions of the selected adhesive).
4. Bonding: After observing the flash-off time (according to the adhesive), center the Velcro exactly over the carrier and press firmly over the entire surface.
5. Curing: For maximum and lasting adhesive strength, it is recommended to let the carrier cure for at least 12-24 hours before first use.
