How to choose the right Goldfarben shade and paint type for stone masonry practice?
When renovating tombstone lettering, the outcome depends on two factors: the craftsman's skill and the quality of the chemicals used. Stone masonry paints from the CraigsTone range by Goldfarben are designed to be freely intermixable, allowing you to mix any specific intermediate shade requested by the customer. All paints in our selection are single-component and ready for immediate brush application, or ready for spraying after slight thinning.

- Gold (Craig's Gold Leaf): A revolutionary alternative to gold leafing. Thanks to special pigmentation technology, it does not oxidize or tarnish, and it retains its extraordinary optical brightness for years without the need for a clear topcoat. Our best-selling product.
- Paint with genuine gold: For exclusive commissions and the restoration of historical or premium monuments. It contains real gold particles, giving the lettering an absolutely authentic, luxurious tone, depth, and durability that no ordinary synthetic paint can match. This paint is less vibrant than the standard gold paint.

Professional tip for on-site application at the cemetery:
One of the greatest advantages of Goldfarben paints is that you don't have to dismantle the stone and transport it to the workshop. All shades can be applied directly outdoors under almost any weather conditions. However, the key to success is letting the stone dry completely. If you clean the lettering with water or an old paint remover before starting, let the stone dry for up to 48 hours before applying the first coat.
